About this Project

Young and talented Japanese artist, Sei Matsushita explores, in her works, the difficult theme of life and the place of which is allocated to the animals in our modern world. What fate is reserved to them and to what extent it is the fruit, the result of the choices made by our consumer society?

Contrast grabbing between the sweetness of her works and furs or bones who comes to remember us in a striking way that each year more than 50 million animals are killed for their fur.

Adorable cuddy toys with, sometimes, sad or nostalgic eyes but terribly ‘human’, Sei’s pets challenge us, move us and affect us.
